Man: Anything else?
Lídia: Yes. Can I have some curry goat, and one chicken empanada.
Man: OK. Anything to drink?
Lídia: Yes. Can I have
DIALOGUE 5: Talking about future plans
Lídia: No, sorry, I'm busy. I'm meeting Marina.
Ariadna: Oh, right. What are you doing with Marina?
Lídia: We're going to the marathon at the sports centre. Do you want to come?
Ariadna: Yes, great. What time does it start?
Lídia: Eight o'clock.
Ariadna: OK. See you there!

DIALOGUE 4: Asking for permission
Dad: Where's the concert?
Ariadna: It's at Muralla Park. I've got some money for the ticket
Dad: OK. I suppose so.
Ariadna: And can stay at Lídia's house after the concert?
Dad: No, sorry, you can't.
Ariadna: Why not?
Dad: Because it's grandma's birthday on Saturday. Remember?
Ariadna: Oh, yeah. I remember.
DIALOGUE 3: Giving opinions
Ariadna: No, I don't.
Lídia: Why not?
Ariadna: Because they're boring. You go to the homework clubs every day!
Lídia: Yes, that's true.
Ariadna: What about you? Do you think they're a good idea?
Lídia: Yes, I think they're OK.
DIALOGUE 2: Asking for and giving directions
Ariadna: Yes, that's right.
Lídia: Oh good. Santa Maria Church near here?
Ariadna: Yes, It's not far.
Lídia: How do I get there?
Ariadna: Go down Valls Street and you will find.
Lídia: OK. Thanks very much.

DIALOGUE 1: Giving personal information
Ariadna: My name is Ariadna Martínez.
Lídia: Sorry? Ariadna...?
Ariadna: Martínez.
Lídia: Can you spell that please?
Ariadna: Yes, it's M-A-R-T-Í-N-E-Z.
Lídia: Great, thanks. How old are you, Ariadna?
Ariadna: I'm twelve.
Lídia: Who's your favourite pop singer?
Ariadna: Rihanna!
THE SECRET OF OLDSTONE HALL
Pete and Nicky are brother and sister. One day in December, Pete stands on a hill with Nicky. They can’t camp on the hill because the weather is bad.
Pete and Nicky decide to stay in a Bed and Breakfast, an old house called Oldstone Hall.
Annie Appleton-White is the owner and the only person that lives in the house.
Annie takes Pete and Nicky upstairs to their room. They sleep very well but at midnight, they hear something and wake up. The noise comes from the attic. Two men run and past them.
Pete, Nicky and Annie, go to the attic and look a book. In the book, they can read: This famous old house has a secret room. It is in the garden near the water you must go down the steps. To get to it the answer is in the trees do not walk in to the water the steps open.
In the morning, they hear a noise. She says:
· There’s someone at the door.
She opens de door and sees Mr Bigwig and his two sons from Bigstone Farm. They come into the Great Hall and talks for a long time. Two dogs, Snowy and Football don’t like them. Annie says that Mr Bigwig wants her house.
Pete and Nicky discover that the sons of Mr Bigwig was the two men that go in the attic the last night because they want the book.
Pete, Nicky and Annie go and find the secret room. They go into the garden. Pete reads from the book and find a stone man, not his daughter. Pete, turn his head to stop the water. The water disappear and Nicky finds the stone hand. She pulls the stone man. Pete, Nicky and Annie down the steps and find a strange old room. In the old room there is a door. Nicky finds the key and open the door. They see that the room is full of gold and silver things. Annie wants to take all the things back to the house. Then appear three men. The men take the boxes that Pete, Nicky and Annie fill. Annie looks at her house and sees her dogs. Annie calls the dogs. The dogs jump on the Bigwigs and Nicky phones the police. The police come to the Oldstone Hall and listens the story that Annie tells. Then, they take the Bigwigs.
That night, Pete, Nicky and Annie have a wonderful meal. Annie gives them a gold coin and says:
-You are a good friends!
